Multiple Teams · Girls Varsity Basketball plays Round 2 playoff game at El Dorado High on Valentine’s Day 2019

With their upset victory over #3 seed Sonora on Tuesday February 12th, Mountain House High Girls Varsity basketball will play Round 2 of the CIF playoffs at #11 seed El Dorado High in Placerville CA.  El Dorado pulled off an upset of their own by defeating #6 Capital Christian 54-43 to advance.

This game pits two underdogs against each other in what is sure to be an up & down contest. Mountain House looks to continue their Cinderella story led by senior captains Andrea Garcia & Taylor Tameta-Arenas. Their senior leadership has been exemplary all season, with the junior and sophomore underclassmen leaning on their prior years playoff experience.

The victory over Sonora in the 1st Round was a historic win for MHHS Girls Basketball. This is the furthest Mountain House has advanced in the playoffs, setting a new standard for upcoming generations to match in a school that is only five years young. Congratulations to the Lady ballers! The school & MH community wishes them the best in Round 2 @ El Dorado High on Thursday, February 14, 2019!

Go Lady Mustang basketballers!
