The Lady Mustangs fell short 63-69 in a road game against Western Athletic Conference foe Beyer High of Modesto on Friday, January 4 2019.

Beyer’s 28-18 second quarter had the Mustangs in a hole, but Mountain House won the second half and battled with Beyer, coming within one point 62-61 with a couple minutes left in the game. After Mountain House had a nice defensive stop down two points 65-63, Beyer point guard Alicia Jones took the game into her own hands. She stole the ball and finished a tough transition layup to put the game out of reach 67-63 with less than 30 seconds in the game. Beyer hit two free throws after the Mustangs fouled and the game ended 69-63.

Senior Andrea Garcia set the pace throughout the game and ended the night with 28 points, 8 assists, 8 steals and 5 rebounds. Junior Natalia Moore-Raygoza hit 11 points. Junior Kayleen Ramos had 6 points, 5 rebounds. Sophomore Maya Gorman and 6 points, 7 rebounds.

Mountain House hopes to bounce back on Tuesday 1/8/19 at home against WAC rival Pacheco High.
